Our Products We are more than just a basic farm shop. Our product lines include many varieties of fruit and vegetables, fresh and frozen meats, free range eggs in all sizes, jams, sauces, marmalades and preserves, a large and varied dairy selection, ready meals, fresh bread and cakes, fresh fish Thursday - Saturday, we have a pet food and accessories area and much much more besides. It doesn’t stop there either, we also stock a wide range of logs, kindling and coals to cover you for all weathers! Different plants in store all year round as well as fresh cut flowers available daily, and 1000’s of Christmas trees to choose from at the start of December and many more Christmas essentials!

As so many of our customers care about the environment (like we do), and we are all trying to cut down on plastic, we have paper bags available for all fruit and vegetables. You may also bring in your own containers for frozen produce and we will weigh them first and take it off the cost of the item weighed.

We are always striving to support local producers selling fresh produce which helps the local economy. We try to do this in the most environmental and economical way. It is all about passion for what we do and the enjoyment we get from doing it. We hope this is passed on to you, our valued customer.

Due to popular demand Brian and Natasha’s fresh fish stall are now on site. Catch them here (if you pardon the pun) Thursday - Saturday, providing the finest quality fresh fish, smoked fish and shellfish.

MEET OUR TEAM

Our family run business was started in 1979 by my father. He opened his first shop in Baddow Road, Chelmsford before moving on to Witham. Another move saw him travelling to Hornchurch before going full circle back home to Chelmsford, where we are today. Now in the farm shop is his son in law and daughter, Martin and Leila plus grandson George, who nearly forty years later are still bringing all of his skills, knowledge and experience in purveying good quality fruit and vegetables (plus a lot more!).

We pride ourselves in buying the freshest produce, fresh fruit, vegetables and salad daily from Spitalfields Market. Where possible, we also source locally direct from our network of growers whenever available and in season also within the closest proximity we can. Martin & Leila

Our Products Our product range is extensive and continually changing. This maybe because of the changing seasons or new lines. Below is a sample of what we may have in stock during the year. Please contact us if you would like further information and availability. We stock, in addition to the usual fruit and vegetables, a selection of the more unusual as well. We have varieties of melon, various beans, smoked garlic and much much more. It is not just fresh produce sold in the shop. We have the full selection of jams, marmalades and preserves, from local growers Wilkins & Sons of Tiptree. We sell Wicks Manor Pork sausages, ham, pork burgers, bacon and sausage meat too. We also stock the famous Burnham banger sausages. Fresh free range chicken eggs from Tiptree Farm Eggs and Cacklebean free range eggs. There is a good selection of cheeses, butter, fresh creams, black pudding, salami, milk, yoghurts ,pate, coleslaw, potato salad, tapas and fresh dips. There is a frozen section that includes quality ready meals and pastries etc. Fresh bread,cakes and rolls are delivered daily. Other quality products available include: Shire Food products, Wessex Flour Mills speciality flour, Castellino Olives. Rossis' famous Ice Creams, Fabulous Kentish Mayde pies , Suffolk based pies and cakes from galloping chef, New Hall award wines, plus 1/2 price local fine wines always on offer, Brentwood brewery ales, cider and beer and local honey and cut flowers, plants and shrubs. The list is always growing!
